Club athlete Erc\u00fcment Olgundeniz set a historical record. The champion discus thrower bassed the Olympic A mark with a throw of 66.89 metres and set a very hgh record for Turkey. In the women\u2019s 400 metre branch, Birsen Engin set the Turkey record at 52.12, which was then improved by P\u0131nar Saka with 51.53, bringing it under 52 seconds. The men\u2019s team set two records in the 400 metre branch. While Ali Ekber Kaya\u015f set the Turkey Seniors record at 46.34, Halit K\u0131l\u0131\u00e7 set the Turkey Juniors record at 46.41.
