Our Men’s Marathon National Team, including our athletes Kaan Kigen Özbilen and İlham Tanui Özbilen, won the bronze medal at the European Road Running Championships held in Brussels, the capital of Belgium.
In the championship organized by the European Athletics Association for the first time this year, a total of 42 athletes started the men’s marathon and our athletes representing our country, İlham Tanui Özbilen, came in 6th with 2:10:26, Kaan Kigen Özbilen came in 11th with 2:13:50 and Hüseyin Can came in 15th with 2:15:01.
With these results, our National Team came in 3rd and managed to complete the championship with a bronze medal. 🇹🇷
