Cem İlkel reached his first quarter-final at the ATP Tour level by defeating the 6th seed and world number 45 Max Purcell 6-3, 4-6, 6-4 at the ATP 250 tournament Sofia Open held in Bulgaria. With this win, Cem also beat an athlete from the world’s top 50 for the first time.
