At the Federation Trials competition held at Ataköy Aslı Çakır Alptekin Indoor Athletics Stadium on February 15th 2014, club athlete Süleyman Bekmezci broke his own Turkey Junior Indoors record of 3:53.01 in the 1500 metre and set it at 3:49.02.
