Olympic medallist national club athlete Yasmani Copello Escobar has come in second place with 48.44 at Oslo Diamond League, his season best, and thus qualified for the World Championship to be held in London in August. Yasmani has also recorded his third best time in his career. The 30-year old had previously set 47.92 at the Rio Olympics and 48.42 at the European Championship held in Amsterdam.
