Club and national player Çağla Büyükakçay, has made it to the final 16 at the Premier 5 series WTA tournament held in Doha after a resounding victory. Büyükakçay beat Lucie Safarova of the Czech Republic, last champion of Qatar Open and finalist in the 2015 French Open 7-6, 7-5 and became the first Turkish player to make it to the third round by defeating a high ranking opponent is such a high level organisation.
