At the ENKA Sports Club Success Award Ceremony, which is traditionally held to reward successful athletes and coaches, 221 athletes and 146 coaches who made our country proud in the branches of Athletics, Tennis, Swimming and Water Polo in 2024 were awarded.
In his speech at the ceremony, our Club President Alparslan Tansuğ said, “As one of the clubs that represented our country with the most athletes in the last four Olympics, we carry the responsibility of being a sports ecole that not only wins medals but also adds values.
In this direction, we attach great importance to our infrastructure system. We work with all our might to discover young talents at an early age and bring them to the world stage. In particular, the Athletics Sports School, which we started this year and is completely free, allows us to raise approximately 250 of our children as champion athletes of the future. With this project, we aim to spread sports and offer equal opportunities to our youth.
Our dear athletes, we should not forget that sports is not only a physical activity, but also requires discipline, honesty and fair play. The spirit of fair play should be your guide; respect for the opponent and commitment to ethical values should be among your basic principles. Do not ignore the importance of not only winning but also fighting honorably. I sincerely thank our valuable coaches, athletes and their families who are the real architects of these successes. I also express my gratitude to the ENKA Foundation, our managers and everyone who contributed to our club coming to this day and generously provided its resources.”
