Our athlete Meryem Bekmez aged 18, attended the first Championship in her career in the senior category at the European Athletics Championships, was ranked 11th in Europe with a time of 1:31.00 in 20km walking and, moreover, has taken World Leader position in junior category and broke Junior and Senior Turkish Records. In addition to this, Meryem renewed Junior and Senior Turkish Records in 5km and 10km entries.
