At the 2012 Turkey Short Course Swimming Championship held on December 19th-23rd 2012, clb swimmer Alp Mete Çetinkol timed in at 00:23:51 in the 50m freestlye; Barışan Ege Fırıldak timed in at 00:25:88 in the 50m backstoke and set the new Turkey record for ages 15-16. Fırıldak set the record again with 00:25.60 in the finals.
